In 2013, he donated three million for the conservation of 3,200 tigers in Nepal. Within these activities we find participation in charity auctions and WWF campaigns, for example to stop the illegal ivory trade and poaching, or to save the whales, for which the actor donated 15 million dollars. In July 2014 he organized a fundraiser in Saint-Tropez in which both he and other celebrities auctioned personal items: he managed to raise 25 million dollars used for the protection of oceans, forests, nature reserves and endangered species . In July 2016, his foundation gave $15.6 million to help protect wildlife and Native American rights, along with the fight against climate change. In 2017, through his foundation, he donated one million dollars to the victims of Hurricane Harvey. In the first months of 2019, he mobilized to support the petition launched by Change.org, to free eleven orcas and ninety beluga whales held in small overcrowded cages on the east coast of Russia. Six months after the complaint, all the animals were released. In 2019 he created an environmental foundation, the Earth Alliance, with which in August he donated five million dollars to save the Amazon forest devastated by fires. For the same purpose, the actor has decided, together with Will Smith, to launch a limited edition line of ecological shoes and to donate the entire proceeds to the Earth Alliance. In January 2020, again thanks to his foundation, he donated three million dollars and launched a fundraiser for fires in Australia.
