What is man causing
Pollution is caused by many sources, including human activity such as the use of fossil fuels, agriculture, industrial production, vehicle exhaust emissions and deforestation. Pollution can have adverse effects on human health, the environment and biodiversity
There are several causes of environmental pollution, but some of the most important are:
Industrial Emissions: industries and power plants emit large amounts of greenhouse gases and other pollutants into the air and water, causing air pollution and water pollution.
Transport: cars, trucks and other means of transport emit large amounts of carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and particulate matter into the air, causing air pollution and climate change.
Agriculture: the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers can cause water and land pollution, and contribute to the loss of biodiversity.
Deforestation: degradation of forests can cause loss of biodiversity and contribute to climate change, due to the reduction of the carbon absorption capacities of plants.
Waste: poor waste management can cause soil and water pollution, and can also contribute to biodiversity loss.
Use of non renewable energy sources: excessive use of non-renewable energy sources such as oil, coal and natural gas can cause air pollution, climate change and the depletion of natural resources.
